Sorry you missed out, but don’t worry we will be announcing the date of our next workshop soon!

You have seen what Eat Breathe Love has to offer.
You have heard the video testimonials from previous delegates.
You like what you hear,
But, you still haven’t booked yet.
So, what’s stopping you?

Having surveyed the reasons why people delay taking action, we have identified the following 3 obstacles:
1. MONEY – You think you can’t afford it. First let me ask, “what do we spend most of our money on, assets or liabilities? Thus, do the things we buy appreciate in value and give us a return on our investment, or do they simply become worthless over time?
Yes, much of what we spend our money on depreciates in value, often the minute we leave the shop/garage etc.
What we are offering is the opposite, it is a chance to invest in your greatest asset – YOU!
This is a fantastic opportunity to improve your health and wellbeing, and make positive changes to your life.
Wouldn’t you agree that when you are on “top form”, your performance improves and life seems so much easier and enjoyable?
YES?
So, think about it this way:
“Money spent on yourself is a valuable investment”
2. TIME – You may feel you simply don’t have the luxury of taking a day out of your busy schedule. So, let me ask you, “when was the last time you focussed on your needs and treated yourself?” Think of it this way:
Remember the last time you were on an aeroplane, and they were doing the safety talk. Whose mask did they ask you to put on first?
Yes, “yours”; and there is a good reason for this……
“Take time to look after yourself and you will be in a better place to care for others”
3. PROCRASTINATION – A client once said to me “my get up and go has got up and gone”. This sums up nicely how we sometimes feel when there is something we know we should do but just never get around to doing it. Well don’t worry; our Eat Breathe Love Workshop is the perfect antidote to this type of feeling. We will give you clear practical steps to help you on your way to a more enjoyable and rewarding future.
So, to give you an additional incentive to book before 18th May, we are offering the next 10 bookings a massive £50 discount off the ticket price – ONLY £47 each. Recently the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) published the results of their 2011 survey into workplace absences revealing that stress was now the primary cause of long term sickness.  Shocking? Yes;  Surprising? No.  Like many practitioners in the field of health and wellness, Janet, Judith and Rhona know that stress is one of the biggest underlying causes of poor health.  It may severely affect quality of life and research clearly shows that left unchecked it leads to more serious illnesses such as heart disease, some cancers and depression.

We live our lives at an ever increasing pace that is putting far more demands on our bodies than they were ever designed to cope with. Dr James Wilson, describes stress as the 21st century syndrome in his book ‘Adrenal Fatigue’ published back in 2001, he was not wrong but now I believe we can add that it is a 21st century epidemic.

Stress is a natural response of our bodies and not a problem in small doses; it’s when the body faces constant stress that the body may start to suffer. Stresses add up and an overload can lead to a painful set of physical, mental and emotional symptoms. At first you may feel ‘tired and wired’ then later constantly exhausted. The body will give you lots of early warning signs as it becomes out of balance but it is easy to mistake them for something else.

The CIPD survey focussed on the stresses of the workplace as though this was the main and only cause of this epidemic.  It can be a big factor, especially in the current climate with fears over job security, but there are so many more stressors that may affect us. Some are obvious some less so.  What is important to understand is that the effects of stress are cumulative.  If, for example, worries at work were the only stressor the body would probably cope.  However, if the body has been experiencing other stresses such as poor food choices, lack of sleep, striving for perfection (yes these can all be stressors) then the outcome may be very different. Fatigue, anxiety, depression may follow and long term health consequences can really be quite severe.

Are you aware of the stressors in your life?

Is stress affecting your quality of life?

Do you know how you can prevent/control stress overload?

Are you suffering from some of the signs/symptoms of out of control stress?

The good news is that you can take control.

The Eat Breathe Love workshop especially designed for women can show you how. Simple changes to the way you eat and breathe as well as addressing some of our emotional baggage we all carry can help restore balance and re-energise your life.

THE ART OF CONSCIOUS BREATHING

The single most important thing any of us will ever do is to breathe. Yet how often do we think of our breathing? Most people take shallow little breaths that only reach the top part of our lungs, yet our lungs reach from just below the shoulder bone to the bottom of the rib cage – and we have two of them!

Our breath is fundamental to life: all our bodily processes are powered by it. If we don’t breathe fully, our food is not digested properly and nutrients from our diet or supplements are not fully utilised. We are not able to eliminate our bodily waste and our cells are not oxygenated well enough. If we limit our breathing, we limit the amount of energy we put into our bodies, we limit our life force.

Babies breathe beautifully. Their lungs look like little bellows going up and down and in and out, it’s almost as if someone is doing it for them.   We all started life like this but stressful situations caused us to hold our breath and our breathing pattern became disrupted.  Over time we have learned to restrict our breathing to the extent that we are only taking tiny little breaths that just enter the top of our lungs.  This has a profound effect on our well-being at every level

On our Eat Breathe Love Workshops you will learn techniques that will help you to:

 Deal immediately with stressful situations

  • Look and feel younger
  • Live in the moment
  • Loosen the control of the mind
  • Breathe like a baby again
  • Make Conscious Breathing a part of your daily life
  • Greatly enhance your health and well-being

Remember – Shallow Breathing leads to a shallow expression of Self!

NOTE:  Early Bird Offer finishes 15th October!

What age group is this workshop aimed at?

Any age! The pace of modern living can affect us whatever stage of life we are at. Sadly more and more young people are being affected. However we have aimed the content of the day roughly to the 30 to 60 age group, but it really applies to all. When we are younger the body is in a better place to adapt as we get older it can struggle.

But the demands on a 30 year old are just not the same when you get to 50 plus, so how can you help us all?

Whilst the demands of life do change as we age the way our bodies cope remains the same.

For example, a few case studies:

‘Ann’ a 35 year old working in London, and mother of 2 who mysteriously gained weight over the past year and begun to experience panic attacks on the commute into work

‘Jane’ a 52 year old teacher, whose both children had just left home for University and had begun to struggle with menopausal symptoms and just felt exhausted every day.

‘Tanya’ a 30 year old single solicitor, a high achiever with out of control PMS symptoms who couldn’t function properly without a constant infusion of diet coke.

These ladies lives and symptoms are all very different yet the underlying cause the same, their bodies were out of balance, more specifically their adrenal glands (once tested) were struggling from on-going stress. Once this happens it can affect anyone of our body’s systems

What are my adrenal glands?

They are 2 small glands that sit on top of the kidneys and are crucial to our health, mood and well being. They are what help us cope with unusual challenges and stress, protecting our bodies from damage. We will look at how they work and sometimes struggle with modern life during the workshop. I believe such an understanding is so important, in helping us take control of our health and vitality.

But surely stress is not all bad? I love to be busy and enjoy my hectic lifestyle.

Yes stress is not bad it itself, it’s a natural response of the body. In fact without some stress our lives would become dull and boring! The key is balance a stressful response needs to be followed by a relaxation response. Rather like pushing down on the accelerator on a car, to rev the car engine for a specific purpose like to over take, you then ease back on the accelerator, the engine is designed to cope with this. If on the other hand you drive with your foot always hovering on the accelerator revving up the engine for not real reason say at the red traffic lights when you are stationary, the engine over years will be affected. So it is with the body. The answer is balance and this is what we look at in the workshop……..how we can all achieve some balance in our lives.

Why is the workshop for women only?

Although men and women have the same basic physiology when it comes to the stress response we feel that a woman faces many extra burdens/challenges through her life. We are ‘wired’ differently emotionally and tend to put other peoples needs first, before our own both at work and at home. Many women end up in stressful jobs with a lot of responsibility but very little power such as nursing and professional women still often feel that they need to work harder to achieve the same accolades as their male colleagues. Being mothers also adds many demands; we tend to be on the alert ready to respond to our child’s needs what ever the age and it doesn’t really end when they reach 18! We are constantly ‘juggling’; we need different ‘pause buttons’ to keep our lives in balance and energy levels up. The workshop will help you find your own ‘pause buttons’.

Why is breathing included? I have been breathing perfectly

well all my life

How are you breathing at this moment?  Modern living does affect our breathing and it tends to go unnoticed. Most people take shallow breaths that just enter the very top of their lungs, yet our lungs reach to the bottom of our rib cage.  They are there to be fully utilised.  The prime energy of the body is the breath and if we are not breathing at our optimum we are limiting our life force and the amount of energy that can reach every part of our body.

I do Yoga and practice the Yoga Breathing Techniques my teacher has taught me is that the same?

What Judith teaches is also Yoga – Kriya Yoga.  It is intended to clear all the energy blocks that prevent us experiencing union with universal energy.  Most people breathe at a very restricted level and what Judith teaches is to breathe as we all did babies – until we learned to restrict our breath.  This, of course, enhances our lives at every level, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Opening up our breathing opens up our lives!

By making a few simple changes to your daily routine, you can improve your general well-being and enjoyment of life.  Our tried and tested formula is specifically designed to help women, who often feel overwhelmed by their daily routine, regain their energy and enthusiasm for life.

Hands up everyone who said: “I AM”!

And my next question is:  When was the last time you spent some quality time on and invested some money in your most important asset?

Think about it this way, like most of us you probably spend a lot of time and vast sums of money on liabilities.  Yes, those things that we think we really need that start to depreciate the minute we leave the shop or garage!  What about the benefits of such purchases – do they really make you feel much happier when you wake up in the morning?  Or, do they simply increase the pressure on you to work harder and longer to earn more money to pay for them?

So, back to yourself and why you should consider investing more time and money in your own health and wellbeing.  Think of it this way:  If you don’t keep your house maintenance up to date or have your car serviced regularly, what do you think would happen?   “Ok”, I hear you say, “the house will fall into disrepair so living in it will be less enjoyable, and the car will probably break down”.  I know, it sounds simple, but why is it that many people forget to keep up the maintenance on themselves and their own wellbeing.  When was the last time you took some time out to think seriously about what you want from life and do things that really make you happy?

Can I let you into a secret?  No one else will do it for you.  In fact, no one else will notice that you need some time off until it’s too late and you are forced to do so (as it will then impact upon them).  This is not to say that significant others in your life don’t care, it is simply the fact that if you appear to be coping well they will assume that you are okay!

Ask yourself this:  “What would happen if I was ill and unable to do what I do today (at work, at home etc)?  Who would be left in charge?

Well, fortunately it doesn’t have to get to that stage.  So, TAKE ACTION NOW!
