spa-poolWhat a fantastic experience – we had such a great day!

It all started with 45 minutes aqua aerobics in the pool, which was such fun – exercising without realising it!  We were even singing along to the music as we moved!  The pristine pool, which overlooks the beautiful grounds, was such a delight – the view in itself is so relaxing.  Afterwards, as we swam and relaxed in the pool-side jacuzzi, we had the opportunity to chat to the friendly Club Members.  

Next we wandered over to the comfortable 19th (XIX) bar and restaurant, where we were served with some delicious cappuccino.  Our coffee break flowed quite naturally into lunch, which was delicious, beautifully presented and reasonably priced.  As we enjoyed our meal, we took pleasure in the lovely view over the golf course to the trees beyond.     

After lunch we went back to the pool for another swim and a sojourn in the pool-side steam room, where we chatted to some other Club Members. Somehow they persuaded us to venture outside and give the hot tub a try, and we are glad we did – it was wonderful!  Nothing like being buffeted by hot water, out of doors on a freezing January afternoon with the sun shining down!   Not one of us, however, was brave enough to give the plunge pool a try.

Such an fabulous day – from late morning onwards we all had a permanent smiles on our faces!

2013The start of a new year may seem like a good time to make resolutions about what we want to change in our lives.  However, once the Christmas decorations have been cleared away and life goes “back to normal” these often lose their appeal – much like turkey leftovers or spent fireworks!

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY!

With a little help, it is possible to break down your resolutions into ‘bite sized chunks’ that can be tackled over a period of days, weeks and months.  It’s a bit like climbing a mountain, you have to do it one step at a time.

It is important to remember that on days when things don’t go your way, being kind to yourself will help you to keep on track, whereas if you ‘beat yourself up’ about what you haven’t done/achieved, this has a negative effect on you and makes you less likely to succeed going forward.

Are you experiencing some Christmas calm or festive frenzy?

It’s the time of year that we like to think of as a time of calm, peace and goodwill towards all. But all to easily it can be a time of frantic activity especially if it falls to you to organise sending of cards, buying and wrapping of presents, food shopping , cooking…the list of ‘to do’ can seem endless.

Expectations seem to get higher and higher to create the ‘perfect Christmas’ and so it is not surprising that many find Christmas to be one of the most stressful times of the year. Children over-excited, the supermarkets are a nightmare (do we really need so much food?) and then there is the extended family to visit.

It’s all too easy to get caught up in a hectic schedule leaving no time for you….yes you do need to put time aside for you to re-charge those batteries and just relax!. It’s especially important if you often feel that you are running ‘on empty’ or easily get tired and irritable. All signs of a high stress load and such stressors have a cumulative effect on our bodies.

At an Eat Breathe Love workshop we take a closer look at how the many varied stressors of modern living can add up and start to affect the quality of our lives. We help you understand how important loving and caring for yourself and give you plenty of motivation and suggestions to help you

Wow, Eat Breathe Love has had a fantastic year.  We have now held 4 workshops and the feedback has been fantastic!
Now we’ve celebrated our first birthday we would like to say a big thank you to all our wonderful customers.

It all started because in our own areas of expertise we were seeing a growing number of ladies struggle  with low energy and a feeling of being overwhelmed by the sheer pace of life and the ‘juggling’ of different roles and commitments.

 We brought together our different areas of expertise to create a full day workshop and on-going programme designed to help ladies regain their natural energy and enthusiasm for life.  After all Eating, Breathing and Loving are 3 absolute essentials for a happier, healthier life.

The workshops are a great mix of facts and simple, practical advice and we have been delighted by how well past workshops have been received. There is a clear need for a better understanding of how stress may be quite silently undermining our health and wellbeing as it gives the motivation to make changes.  We find that when women leave our workshops they are motivated and inspired to take action, and we give them plenty of ideas as to where to start making a difference.

We had a fantastic day on Saturday with a lovely group of ladies.  Don’t just take our word for it:
